New for 2008: GET HELP WITH YOUR CREDIT
A dedicated Consumer Credit Counseling Service phone number for The Home Depot associates has been established at (866) 499-8771.
An interactive Web site has also been implemented to help associates maintain their financial freedom through education.
Initial fees and counseling will be subsidized by the Fund.
The Homer Fund is available to assist all associates of The Home Depot and its family of companies. In 2007 alone, the Fund provided assistance to more than 4,000 associates and their families. The Homer Fund helps through its two grant programs– the Direct Grant and the Matching Grant.
DIRECT GRANTS
New for 2008: NEW DIRECT GRANT HELP
The Homer Fund will now be able to assist associates with relocation costs if their home is declared uninhabitable or condemned, or if the associate is forced to relocate due to unanticipated sale or foreclosure of rental property.
Necessary uninsured home modifications that are caused by a qualifying circumstance (i.e., injury resulting in disability), such as wheelchair ramp, bathroom modifications, etc. will be paid for by
The Fund.

- The Homer Fund’s Direct Grant helps associates through tragic events such as a death, a natural disaster, an illness or injury
- Since 1999, more than 6,000 associates have received Direct Grant assistance totaling $7.3 million for basic living and funeral expenses
