Financial Counseling: CredAbility (formerly Consumer Credit Counseling Service)
Your financial wellness is just as important as your physical wellness. In an effort to help associates gain financial security, The Homer Fund formed a partnership with CredAbility. Through this partnership, the Fund has developed financial workbooks and a dedicated phone line (866-499-8771) to help associates who are having financial difficulty. Also available to associates is a brand, new interactive financial web site, providing financial education through online classes and live webinars. Information on topics ranging from figuring out how your credit score affects your finances to how to save your home are offered 24 hours a day. This site also offers calculators to help you create a budget or determine how long it will take you to get out of debt. CredAbility offers free budget counseling and foreclosure prevention. Debt management is also provided. The Homer Fund will make a contribution of up to $335 towards your debt management payment plan after you make your sixth payment. This amount will be sent as an additional debt reduction payment to your creditors.
Planning and Advice: CARE/Solutions for Life
For associates who may need help with retirement planning, funding college, or legal advice, contact The Home Depot’s CARE/Solutions for Life. This 24-hour service is available via phone (800-553-3504) or Internet. CARE/Solutions for Life also offers counselors trained in substance abuse and mental health. Among the remaining wide spectrum of services provided are childcare and elder care referrals, prenatal advice and gift, relocation referrals and assistance in locating emergency shelter. Medical Bills: Health Advocate Team
With rising medical costs, many associates may find they are unable to pay their medical bills. The Home Depot offers it's associates a valuable program through the Health Advocate Team. This group can help negotiate medical bill payments, deal with benefit claims and help you understand charges related to your treatment. Call 800-519-6689 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET to utilize this resource.
